• The pot and surface should be at room temperature or warmer before use
• Thoroughly shake the pot and stir with a stick to ensure full mixture
• Use straight from the pot or decant required amount to a smaller container
• Test the paint on a small surface before painting
• Water will affect the coverage and effect of the paint
• Best applied to a rough surface
• If varnishing, test on a small area first
• Apply more coats for a more varied finish
• Thicker coats will dry darker, thinner coats will be lighter
